Hello, currently running 9.2.1 on 2 iPhone 5s 32gb and experiencing fast drain, slow charge. I have a 5 with 8.4 that lasts all day with normal charging.

Any way to go back to iOS 8?

No. Did you try restoring the phone (maybe as New) to try and address the drain issue?

I did, no luck even had a new battery installed but shows 259 cycles so not sure was new. Even on standby with airplane mode it went down. Currently took 2 hours to go from 0%-43% sleeping.

Did you take the phone to the Apple Store to be looked at before you changed the battery? There are a lot of people with the 5S on 9.2.1. If this was a wide spread issue Apple would have patched it.

The 5S is new enough not to require a battery replacement this soon so I'm actually surprised. So did the battery drain issue begin with the new battery or the old one?

Old and apple and ibackupbot tested ok. Shop replaced it without contacting me prior. Old had 691 charges "new" has 259 which isn't new

Hey, I also had the same issue with iOS 9.2.1, you can upgrade to iOS 9.3 beta or wait for it to be released to public, iOS 9.3 has fixed 90% of my battery issues, there are still some minor issues but it's still a beta. You could also try activating low power mode when it's just done with charging at 100%. Upgrading to iOS 9.3 or activating low power mode may give you better battery life.
