IOS 9 Update Taking Very Long to Download?

So basically i have to update to 9 because as of now i cannot get iphone to even work with the itunes logo and connect usb screen.


Last time it downloaded close to whole 1.5gb but then there was error. Now its way too slow and im thinking even if it does finish... will have same error.


Anyone?


Also does anyone know if it means if it does install correctly, i will have all my data still saved on iphone? I didn't want to restore it to factory settings because i don't want to lose all my things in my iphone.

You can download a full restore file of iOS 9.2 for all the supported iOS devices from the following site

The site also tells you how to use iTunes to install the .ipsw file.

The main advantage is that the download is done via a browser on your computer. This lets you resume the download if you have network issues (e.g. a slow internet connection, time outs. etc.). Once downloaded the actual install/update via iTunes goes quickly.

I have the exact same problem even on an iPad with iOS 8.4.1. This means it is a problem with Apple server.
