Apple released iOS 9 yesterday and So far I have not seen any improvements in speed on my iPhone 6 plus it is actually slower comparing to iOS 8.4.1. To show that I uploaded a video where I compare both versions on iPhone 6 and 6 plus ( both have the same processor).

Do you express the same issue? please share it wit us

I totally agree that for me, iOS 8.4.1 was a faster experience than iOS 9 is so far. However, you left out some variables that could skew the results. iPhone 6, although having the same processor as the 6+, typically has better performance than the 6+ (proven in Geekbench). Thus, the actual 6+ could just be slower than the 6, not the software. Also, you didn't make sure all apps were closed on both phones before opening the stock apps at the same time.

Thanks for your reply. Well I did make sure that all apps were closed right after the boot and in the second test I started from app launcher :)

It's fine until I use my wife's iPhone6 that still has 8.4.1, you can definitely tell that 8.4.1 is faster when used side by side. Over time, you don't notice the difference until you use a device that still has 8.4.1 on it.

My iPad air 2 however does seem faster on iOS 9 than it did on 8.4.1

Only reason I haven't rolled it back is the content blocker feature on iOS9.

I've been saying this all beta and GM, still the fanboys have been bashing me for making my statement.

Saying what - not faster?

My unscientific impression of the actual head to head comparisons is that depending on the device, 9 may be a little faster or a little slower than 8, but not dramatically so either way. And I will admit that this is not what was being touted back at WWDC (which is a good reason to be cautious about what you are promising six months before it's delivered).
