For a release that was supposed to be "All about iPad", the GM sure is shotty in many areas. (I'm on an Air 2) WHERES THE METAL SUPPORT?!?!
Wait till everyone sees:
1. messages randomly wont recognize any keyboard input for a second or how choppy the multitasking menu is.
2. A a nice long delay when swiping back in safari before ANY touch is recognized and when gesturing out from an app thats in a folder (before you can actually tap to go back to the home screen.
3. Dynamic wallpapers bring an Air 2 (and every other device) to its knees with extremely choppy animations everywhere.
4. Music app on iPad is riddled with interface bugs. I'm not talking about the service that everyones debating. Just the app it self. Way too many bugs to even list here. Rotating in "For you" always loses your spot and brings you back to the top....f–ing annoying. Mind you this is on iPads only. The iPhone app is much more polished. The entire app feels like its been written in "non-native" code or something the way things stutter and resize when you rotate.
5. Calendar icon system wide (multitasking, spotlight) shows a generic low-res icons. Whoopsie...someone screwed up there!
6. If you text someone using your iPad who doesn't have an iPhone (green bubbles) spotlight will show their icon but no way to actually message them (no message icon shortcut)
7. Podcast app has ABSOLUTELY ZERO WAY to play a video in full screen. Guess that was another switch some engineer forgot to flip too. Fullscreen video? Who needs it!!!!!
8. Ironically split screen is silky smooth.....But no support for Music.app?!?!?!
Overall certain areas are really smooth and responsive and others are not. Apple is trying to grow iPad sales with still making the engineers treat iPad version of iOs like the step child. How hard is it to just make it freaking smooth!!!!!
