I've learned the new version of iTunes no longer has app store tied to it, great.

So we have no way to browse for ATV apps but on ATV
now no way to browse for iOS apps but on iOS

I've installed the 11 public beta and went to the app store and I can see my previous downloads but I am unable to search in them.

I have a feeling I know where Apple is going...
Magically your apps are there. When you get a new device, puff magic, everything gets transferred...

What if you are setting up another device where you want only specific apps... instead of searching your purchase history you need to search the store.
It's a giant step backwards.

why would u need to search the Mac? Your on iOS anyway

The only reason would be each device has its own store.... no longer a mac (more open) to closed (iOS) transition that u can also take..

Its only an issue, because there was this "one place" you could search for *both* ios apps and Mac apps using App Store on one device. Now it's separate.

Because it's nicer to search on the bigger screen with a keyboard and mouse. I pretty much install all my apps from my computer
