Mine was going off for 5 minutes today and I didn't hear it. Glad I set my normal alarm. I don't mind that they start out weak and come up in volume, but after a minute or two they need to start blaring.

The bedtime alarms are designed to be weak. It's meant to be an alternative to the regular alarm which can be jarring.

I've adjusted the alarm volume to max but the wake alarm still did not wake me up this morning. I am aware that the sound gradually rises but the max it goes to is still not good enough to wake me LOL.

I am trying the sound called 'Bright-Eyed' tonight. It seems to be louder than the others.

They are designed to start gently which is awesome, I hated waking up scared with the original alarms. Bedtime itself is missing turn off snooze though.

I like them, too. I received a Sense from a kickstarter campaign and prefer to wake up to softer alarms. I hope we'll be able to set multiple bedtimes per week soon (unless I'm missing something?)

It appears this feature is not suited for you because you are a heavy sleeper. Its meant more for people who wake up to the sound of a pin drop. If I were you, I would use the regular alarm instead of the bedtime alarm. Don't try to squeeze yourself to fit this feature if it doesn't work for you.

Thank you for the advice. Im not trying to "squeeze" myself to "fit this feauture", I'm just simply trying out a new feature in iOS which interested me. If it's not for everyone, shouldn't it have a warning or disclosure of some sort. Just my observation.

Back to the old alarm for me too. My brain once in a while attributes the bed time alarm to outside ambient noise causing me to ignore it.

if my experience is correct, the bedtime alarm's volume is unaffected by the volume buttons (though you can use the volume buttons when choosing a sound to increase the preview playback). you actually have to adjust the slider on the bedtime screen. I keep my ringer low (like on 2), but moved the slider for the bedtime alarm to about halfway to get an alarm that I wake up to. It's still very quiet...it usually wakes me up after 10 seconds or so.

I noticed that too.

Hmmm. Finding that max is not enough, also. I would think it would get louder until you turned it off. :) Or you could set a max loudness. The point is to wake you up, after all.

I do agree the regular alarms, either standard or a music clip, can blast you out of bed.
