iOS Control Centre WiFi Button Bug?

The video shows the screen of my iPhone after I switch it back on. I am pretty sure that I have toggle the WiFi button OFF before I switch off my phone.

I have a habit of turning off WiFi (through control centre) before I switch off my phone. Every time I return to my phone, the WiFi button is ON (by itself). Now, I have to press twice to connect to my home WiFi. Same thing happens on my iPad.

In iOS 11, I have found that turning on WIFI via the Control Center (and then turning it off the same) does not elicit the same response as going into settings and toggling WIFI on and off. If I turn off WIFI via Control Center, WIFI is not truly off, just no longer connected.

Exactly. It disconnects it.

Thank you for your response. I am informed that Apple has changed the behavior of the control center that toggling OFF WiFi in control center doesn't COMPLETELY switch OFF the WiFi. But the problem is that every time I return to my phone, I have to press the WiFi button twice (so that the WiFi button status changes from WiFi Searching -> WiFi not connected -> WiFi connected). Shouldn't the button be dimmed out when the phone is not connected to any networks?

Yes. Did you try rebooting your phone? If so, did you try resetting all settings, which resets the network settings etc. but doesn't delete any personal files. Just means you have to re-enter network passwords etc.

Yes, I did. Still the bug persists. Same thing on my iPad.
