iPhone IOS Encryption With Third Party Encryption

As most of you know apple comes with some of the best smartphone encryption available. My question to all of you reading this is as follows, Is there any extra encryption software that can be added to IOS through any means? (With or Without a Jailbreak) The reason for wanting something extra is clear to myself privacy. Apple still can use their key to gain access to the information on the device, and they have willing let the police send phones in to apple and gave out private information. So does anyone know if there is anything available at the moment to add extra protection to IOS devices. If there is can someone tell me what it is and how to install it or if your a Cydia developer feel free to take it upon yourself and help the jailbreak community. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
