I have a jailbroken 5.0.1 Iphone, and more and more messages from the app store are showing up (must have 5.1).

What is the name of a Cydia tweak that will fake my ios version so I can download these?

Wirelessly posted

Or tonput it another way, can i trick the app store using ifile to make it think i have 5.1?

Yes, but once installed, the apps just crash and will not run.
There is a reason that iTunes does not permit them to be installed.
It's because they cannot function on the older firmware.

What dhlizard said.
Some apps may call for things that are not present on older firmware versions and thus not only crash the app but they can also get your iphone stuck on the Apple logo in need of a DFU.

Don't don't don't don't don't do this, omg don't.

I spoofed 6.0 on my 5.1.1 device, and it broke my app store and iTunes store, forever. It like registered my device at apple as having ios 6, so when I open either store it begins to load the redesigned iOS 6 store, but obviously my device doesn't have any of the required graphics or code, so it just sits there, blank. Even changing it back to 5.1.1, rebooting my device, and going into safe mode doesn't fix it.

Just glad 6.1 Jb is on the horizon.
