I moved my MobileMe account over to iCloud a long time ago. Lately I've noticed some weird things, and I'm wondering if its iCloud related.

For example, every time I open iTunes on my Mac, I'm prompted one or two times to enter my Apple ID to check for downloads.

If I purchase a App on my iPad, rather than automatically pushing to my iPhone I am prompted with a password dialog box on my iPhone. I must enter my password before that App downloads. The same thing happens if I buy an App on my iPhone I have to enter the password on my iPad before the app downloads.

Has anyone else ran into this issue? Its kind of annoying.

Update: I tried turning off automatic downloads on all three devices as well as signing out of the app store/ itunes and back in.
This did not resolve it.

Anyone have any other ideas?

There is a long thread about this issue on Apple Support Communities it happens on both Windows and Mac. I was experiencing the issue but update 5.3.3 solved it for me.

A temporary fix is to logout of the itunes store and it will not ask for a password until you log back again.

But if I download an app on my iPad using automatic downloads on my iOS devices the iPhone still prompts for a password instead of automatically downloading it. Will this fix it?

The iPhone/iPad will always ask for password when downloading apps. It is a security measure. The password stays stored for about 5 minutes, in that time frame you can download apps without entering it again.

This happens even with automatic app download as the iPhone does not has a save password option.

It hasn't been asking for my password on my iOS devices, but my MacBook pops up every few minutes and asks for the password. I have a theory. I think Apple may have started popping up the password prompt more frequently to stop people from trying to download 11,000 apps back to back trying to win the gift card.

This never happened to me before, it just pushed to all my devices, that is what is weird.

I am fairly sure this is a settings issue, but I don't know the answer. I have an iPad and an iPhone, both of which sync to a Mac Mini. If I buy a new app using iTunes on the Mac, it silently loads (is pushed, as you say) on the iPad too, whereas the iPhone prompts me for a password.
