As far as I understand, document formats were upgraded during the transition to version 2.1 of the iWork apps.

What happens to iCloud documents for these apps when you open older versions of the software (for example Keynote 1.7.2 on my iPad 1)?

I tried and it doesn't have my iCloud documents there, but my version 2.1 does. Did it upgrade the documents and only "old" documents now show up in my old version?

I don't think you can open the newer documents using the older software (if that's what you're asking). I tried opening a Numbers spreadsheet using an older version (not knowing at first it was the older flavor) and it would not open for me.

Yes, you probably can't. I was just wondering if they still sync across iCloud, though.

As in, my older version of Keynote, with iCloud on doesn't show the updated documents. Does it not see the iCloud documents any more? OR maybe the older versions no longer sync to iCloud once you have upgraded your iCloud to use the newer ones?
