After viewing the pics on a desktop it appears that the spectre app does take clearer and sharper pics. This could be due to that it appears that IOS also crops the long exposure image for some reason. Honestly hard to tell the difference on my XR screen although on a desktop I do appreciate the seemingly higher quality images spectre seems to produce.

For me, at the end of the day, I'd be using long exposure techniques for poor lighting situations more than I would for light trails or water effects. That being said I don't feel like I wasted $2 as the quality does seem better than the stock app and if I happen to want to take these types of pics I'd rather have access to the "best" tool to take these types of pics.

great post, thanks. i would agree to your conclusion. i find it hard to take sharp pics with spectre. but when it works the shots are pretty cool (long exposure ones).

Agreed but I do find with every app update they make the easier it is to take sharper pics.

Did you use a tripod for long exposure or just handheld photography?
