IOS on 32Gb iPad?

Got a notice about iPad OS 18 on my 8th gen iPad - 32Gb. Problem is iPad OS 17.7 and system data files total 14Gb - leaving 18 GB. iPad OS 18 download is showing 6GB - leaving 12Gb after download. iPad OS 18 requires 13Gb free space to install - i.e. it doesn't install.

Anyone using iPad OS 18 on a 32Gb iPad - if so how did you pull it off?

Get itunes on your PC or Mac and update it via cable

I'm guessing the file downloads to your computer, unpacks and then transfers to your iPad.
