Hi there

Just a quick question - on my Macbook Air my Photo app states I have 9gb of pictures, yet on my synced iPhone (with the same number of pictures) it is circa 3.5-4gb - does iTunes reduce the size of photos in any way and is there a setting for this?

Are you using iCloud Photos Library? If so, the setting is in Settings - iCloud - Photos. Keep Original vs Optimize. If you select Optimize it will keep the optimized photo for the device 1334x750 vs full image. With the optimize setting when sharing photos it will actually send the full optimized photo from the cloud.

Thanks, but I'm not using iCloud Photo library. When I check the file size of a random picture in Photos it's 2mb, but when I check on my iPhone (send via email), the original size is 750kb...
