So with Apples new "Files" app I want to make the migration to iCloud Documents for my syncing (not necessarily looking to debate the merits of that unless it applies directly to my issue here) but my current PDF viewer (iAnnotate 3.x) doesn't support Files or the stock iOS Document Picker—nor does the latest iAnnotate 4.x. I can import PDFs from Files but I can't have the documents live in iCloud and still sync and be editable like they can in Dropbox, Box, etc. I've tried several other PDF apps and they seem to have the same problem. Instead all seem to rely on their own proprietary file system manager which doesn't reveal iCloud Documents. Am I missing something?

I need more annotation features than the stock PDF viewer in Files (plus the ability to have multiple documents open at once).

Has anyone else noticed this? Found a work around?
[doublepost=1509889688][/doublepost]Ok, turns out Adobe PDF Reader has this (somewhat buried in the interface) feature. So that's an interim solution. If anyone else has suggestions I'd love to hear them! So far the Adobe app works but hasn't won me over.

PDF expert might be for you. It has annotation features and you can acces your iCloud Drive (or any file that is accessible threw the files app) from it. Although it is a bit hidden you have to select iCloud on the left bar and then clock iCloud Drive on the top left corner.

The free app PDF Viewer by PSPDFKit perfectly integrates with Apple’s new Files app and the UIDocumentBrowserViewController.

https://pdfviewer.io/

It’s free because we sell the cross-platform PDF engine to apps like Dropbox, Box, IBM, SAP and many other cloud storage providers.
