Clicking the share sheet from an app doesn't result in anything. The button goes grey as it's about to load, and it hangs 90% of the time.

I have managed to get it to work in Safari sporadically, but all the stock apps are missing (share to notes, photos, etc), and there are no 3rd party apps at all.

I have tried force restarting and rebooting multiple times. I have also toggled everything off in Apple Intelligence and Siri - 'suggest apps/show with sharing'

Anyone experience this?

I created an account just to say that I’m also experiencing the same issue! I’m running iOS 18.1.1 on a brand new iPhone 16 Pro Max, and it’s extremely frustrating! The share sheet functionality is botched across the entire OS, and it seems to affect all third party apps.

I have tried force restarting, turning off all Siri search suggestions, called Apple Support twice. This is such a central feature to iOS, so it’s kind of ridiculous to have it broken in this way. The share function is also used to open files in other applications!

apparently, apple acknowledged this as an internal issue to be fixed in an upcoming update, but it still takes more people to report, so Apple ensure it works with everyone.

Very strange, 3 days after and around 4 restarts, the share sheet is now working! Let's hope this sticks.
I'll report back here if it doesn't!
