iOS struggling with increased iTunes Match limits?

With the recent increase in the iTunes Match limit, I happily have uploaded all 60,000 tracks that are in my iTunes library. iTunes on my various macs are having no issues, but the Music app (on my iPhone and iPads) seems to be struggling. Regularly it stops updating with latest changes. Changes show up fine in iTunes on my Macs, so it's not a service issue. My fix is to turn it off in the iOS settings, then turn it back on. And then it works for a while, but then eventually gets 'stuck' again, no longer showing updates.

Anyone else have a large iTunes Match library and having similar iOS issues? For added info, I do *not* use Apple Music. Only iTunes Match.

So I reset iTunes match on my iPhone, and now it's become a one-way sync changes I make on my phone show on my Mac, but changes I make on my Mac don't show on my phone. Sheesh.

Ok update to this: in fact what's happening is that on my iPhone, iTunes Match is only updating once per day. How weird is that?! I'll add music to the library on my mac. It'll show up in my other computers. Nothing on my iPhone. Then the next morning I'll check and it'll be there. It's done this for two days in a row now. That's really odd.
