Hi. I've seen this problem from the last few iOS updates. Someone other than me seeing the same thing?

Details:
  • Downloaded IPSW file. Performed iOS update using iTunes (because on occasion I've lost iMazing connectivity after updating via OTA method). iTunes v12.6.5 running on latest version of Mojave.
  • White-on-black Apple/progress screen visible for a long time -- circa 2--3 hours. Home Screen becomes visible but there's a cloud glyph next to the name of all apps (except for TestFlight apps). It *looks* as if all apps need to be redownloaded; however, when I long-press an icon and then tap 'cancel download' the cloud glyph goes away and the app becomes launchable.
  • It's a pain to do this for all apps -- so I perform update in evening and then I go to sleep. The next morning I find all apps launchable; however, in my App Store updates page the list of apps needing updates is huge. But those apps constitute just a subset of the apps installed on my iPhone. When I tap update buttons, one by one, the updates do work.
In sum: This problem kinda-sorta resembles the TestFlight-associated problem. But not exactly? https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/merged-ios-13-2-2-app-updates-stuck-on-waiting.2210793/

Do you, readers, see this same problem? Does someone here have a guess about why this happens to my device?

Thank you for reading.

I would say just perform a DFU restore with the latest IPSW and see if that resolves all issues. While many would disagree with this by saying they have kept updating for several versions of iOS without ever performing a DFU restore, but fact is that standardised software can still behave unpredictably on standardised devices, so what has worked for them might throw up a random corruption for you at some point, causing errors like you are facing. Just restore fresh, save yourself some diagnostic time unless you want to diagnose the problem.
