Does anyone have suggestions for an alarm app to help me wake up in the morning? The built in one from Apple doesn’t work I’m for me. Maybe there’s a setting I'm missing.

So this morning it was set for 8am. I woke up on my own at 8:50a. The watch showed it was going off but no sounds or vibrations. Same thing with iPhone. I think I fell asleep on my stomach and I was on top of my watch but why wouldn’t the iPhone make a sound or vibrate?

I can’t be late for work and need something more reliable. There are lots of apps in the App Store. Which one works for you?

Make sure your has prominent haptic turned on. That should wake you up in the morning. If you prefer, make sure the sound is not muted on the watch and phone. Doing that will insure you get a loud alarm on both.

Prominent is on, both iPhone and Apple Watch were unmuted and turned up.

I wish I could test it but I couldn’t see how to do it same day.

I just tested this.

No sound at all coming from iPhone. So this is relying on just the Apple Watch that is squished and insulated between me and my mattress.

I’ll work on it tonight after work. I need to figure something by Tuesday for sure.

If you set an alarm on your iPhone, the alarm should definitely make a sound. Maybe you have the volume for notification sounds set to zero?

I doubled checked and the volumes are up. And there’s absolutely no sound coming from iPhone, just Apple Watch.

Quick update!

I took off my Apple Watch and went outside for the next alarm. The alarm sounded on iPhone just fine.

So I don’t know if it was because I was out of range of AW or just had it off.
