I just backed up my iPhone to the iCloud, and saw the Health app is taking up 2.5Gigs of space. Is there anything I can do to minimize this file size and get back a large part of my iCloud?

Can anyone else tell me if their health app backup is near that big? I only have my typical heart rate from my watch, and some bike rides from Strava, but I didn't think that would take up 2.5 gigs. Anyone else with similar size backup?

The health app doubles in size after every single iCloud backup. I believe it's a bug. Instead of only updating the changes, it adds everything up again. Delete your iCloud backup and create a fresh one. If you go to settings and check the usage of the health app, that is the size that it will start as with your iCloud backup. But every night when it auto backup, it will double in size again. I delete my iCloud backup and create a new one once a week.

I can also report that I'm experiencing this problem myself and even though I have reported as a bug to Apple across the betas it's managed to stick around to the public release.
