Is there a way to completely uninstall or disable control centre in iOS11? I'd love to completely remove the controls that appear when I double-press the home button. Its driving me nuts, a complete waste of screen real estate.

So is this in relation to iPad and Control Center being there next to the app switcher?
Don't think the iPhone has anything related to the control center when the home button is double-pressed (to invoke the app switcher).
