I have a 2017 Honda Civic and carplay has been almost unusable since I bought it which was very disappointing to me. It was bad enough that it could actually crash the cars whole system on a regular basis.... now with iOS11 it works PERFECT

That's good news. I may go ahead and upgrade now.

Tbh, Carplay is possibly the only reason I haven't got rid of my iPhone yet. Love the Spotify support.

Interesting, I've had issues with the update with my carplay. This is in a 2017 Ford F-250 with Sync 3. On Tuesday I had taken a conference call (using an app called Zoom which is a Webex competitor), and everything was going fine. Then I got a phone call and the display switched over to the phone and I hit decline, expecting to be put back in the meeting. The phone did put me back in the meeting, but it also fired up my Pandora and started blaring that over my conference call. I had to kill Pandora to fix it, but then it started sending massive feedback even though I was on Mute. I eventually rebooted my phone and took the call via dial-in.

That sounds like a major compatibility issue
