Ever since my wife and I upgraded to iOS12, we have noticed that chargers in the car that used to work just fine, do NOT work any longer. In my car, for example, I have a multi USB adapter that used to charge both of our phones. Now only the top one will charge ANY of our phones. The rest are ignored. Her car charger won't do either of our phones now either.

This all started with iOS12. It worked just fine before the update.

Ideas?

If only. I updated mine, but not my wife's. We both still draw a big "nope" on the ones that used to work. Maddening.

Are you using a 3rd party charger cable?

Apple purposely disabled your phone from charging if you are using non-apple cables/chargers.

It’s an Apple cable, but obviously not an Apple “charger” as they don’t make one for the car. It seems to be an amp issue. One of my slots is full power, the others less. Did something change in that spec?
