iPad Pro IOS13 and USB Drive for IPP 12.9

I watched the show yesterday and basically underwhelmed. First one I ever watched and it was morbid curiosity, like the horrible wreck on the freeway that you slowly drive by. You don't really want to look but are somehow compelled to look anyhow. Enough said. I was intriqued by the announcement that we'll be able to plug a USB or SD card into the lightning port for for transfer, reading files not just photos etc. I've tried this before with various adapters and no success.
I'm looking for an adapter for USB-C (I'm purchasing a 3rd gen IPP 12.9) to micro SD that will perform functions mentioned above. Also a USB-C to USB-A (female) for my external hard drive.

They definitely work for charging pass through but I can't confirm data yet as I did not load the iOS 13 beta. As for the USB-A adapter, look at the Apple camera adapter dongle.

I use the coredrive from my switch dock on my iPad Pro. Price wise it’s the best adapter on the market IMO, although it doesn’t do 4K display output (1440p max) so if you want to do that it’s not the best.
