iPhone iOS13 ghost touches on iPhone XS

Has anyone else been experiencing ghost touches on iOS13? Thurs/Fri of last week were mostly okay for me after upgrading to the latest beta but since then my phone has been almost unusable. I've tried hard reboots and powering on and off - but it hasn't solved the problem.

Sounds like a hardware problem.
 
Feels like too much of a coincidence as it only happened after moving to iOS13 for the first time.

Apple won't service anything on beta software in-store, right?
