iOS14 and Apple Watch first-generation?

Does anyone know for certain (as in they have tried it on their devices) if a first-generation Apple Watch (WatchOS4 max I believe) will pair and work with iOS14? I know my first-generation Apple Watch pairs with iOS13 on an iPhone11Pro just fine but think iOS14 won't support it.

Yep, it works for me! I’ve been using it since the first iOS 14 Beta.

Just to follow up in case anyone wonders. Yes, my first-generation Apple Watch pairs fine with an iOS14 iPhone.
I bought my other half a Watch Series 6 and that won't pair with an older iOS - needs iOS14 - which is understandable.

I have a series 1 Apple Watch and it works just fine on iOS 14.4
