No amount of research has given me any solution to fix my iTunes Remote app. I have tried all the advice I could find and nothing works since updating to ios14. Hopefully there's someone here that is much smarter than me that can help.

Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Local Network

Make sure Remote has access turned ON.

Note that you might have two remote apps installed; make sure BOTH have local network access turned on as they both need it.
 
Thanks Zorinlynx ! I never would've thought to look in privacy. Any idea why ios14 would turn off apps I have used forever and turn them off with no warning?

There's a good chance that the first time you launched the app after upgrading that it asked for local network permission and you accidentally said no. It's happened to me!
