iOS14 on iPhone SE 2 - Siri is gone?

I installed iOS14 yesterday on my iPhone SE 2. Siri has disappeared. When I hold the button down, there appears a sort of rotating ghost-cloud which does not respond to voice commands and has no offer to type anything in.

Now what?
