Not sure if anyone has had this or having this issue. Had to replace my ip12pro max. Got the replacement. I back up to iCloud. When I restore my phone all the pictures in all my text messages no longer show up. So when I click on the person's name and do see all for photos a very small few show up. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps I could find online such as turning off and on iMessage, turning on and off siri doing another restore. All the same result. I am missing about 75 gigs worth of stuff in my text messages. I have seen where the phone is still indexing but I leave it alone to finish and nothing changes. I see the storage on my iCloud that shows it has my backup with messages but it's not making it to my phone. I have to send my broken phone back so running out of time to try and figure this out. I have restored using quick start and manual didn't change the outcome. any thoughts?

Give it time. If you have dozens of message threads with thousands of messages and attachments it can take hours for everything to sync up.

Leave your phone plugged in and on WiFi and let it churn.

Thanks. Yah i let it sit for 48 hours plugged in and on wifi. Still not showing up.

If you scroll all the way to the bottom on the screen in your screenshot, is there an option to download the images? (My screenshot is from iOS 14, but guessing things should be similar.)

Yah it was there but didn’t do anything. I have a ticket with apple and have an engineer working on it. I think it’s a legit bug.
