iOS17 beta + WatchOS beta downgrading question

Slightly curious about installing beta2 on my iPhone14Pro.. However, I read something that it also updates my AppleWatch to the new beta aswell. So, if I want to go back to iOS 16 from iOS17, WatchOS won't downgrade so they won't pair anymore if I do that..?
So, is there a way to solve this? If I want to go back from iOS17 to 16 on my phone?

Your phone can move freely between versions, the watch is one way and will not work with the older iOS version once updated.

You will have to take it in for repair to return to watchOS 9.

Yes, unless you take it in to a store for "repair".

You can keep your Watch on WatchOS 9 while you upgrade your iPhone to the beta, it is not required to be updated as well. In fact, you have to manually enroll it to the beta for it to upgrade.

Your watch won't automatically be upgraded so you don't have to worry about your watch being on watchOS 10 unless you want it on watchOS 10.
