Several times I read that iOS4 would playback html5 video in the browser without opening an external player just like the iPad.
Now that I have iOS4 on my 3gs it still opens an external player.

Was the information wrong or do I have to change the settings

I've never read that anywhere, as far as in understand it works like OS 3 and previous.

I can imagine wanting to play a video inside Safari on the iPhone, everything would be too small.

I saw a similar thing on Android with a flash player, and the user couldnt use the video controls as they were way to small!

My assumptions is they could do it (especially with the new hardware, A4 chip, etc) like the iPad where you just "expand" (whatever the opposite of the pinch is) on the video and it takes up the whole screen.
