hi,

Back in the day when I had the firsts betas of iOS installed (I'm a dev), I took some photos and added them to an album on the phone itself. Then deleted them from the photo roll.

It was always my assumption that once photostream was online, and the public updates of OSX and iPhoto were released, photo albums created on the iphone itslef would sync back to iPhoto.

This is not what I'm seeing, only photos within the photostream album are being sync'd. What's the use of being able to create, and manage photo albums on the iphone, if then they aren't sync'd back to iphoto?

thanks!

The lack of functionality in the iOS Photo App is keeping iOS from being completely PC-free. You can't create events, you can't edit or add to existing iPhoto synced albums, and you can't tag faces or edit places. The one thing you can do, create new albums, is useless because it doesn't sync between iOS devices (nor do photo edits) and if you want to clean out your camera roll, those photos are deleted entirely.

So if photos are at all important to you, iOS is still not PC-free, which I'm really disappointed by. Maybe in iOS 6...

I see.. maybe iphoto '12?

the point is that photo stream might be misleading. Back when I took these photos, I added them to al album and deleted them from the photo roll, to save room for other photos..
