For those that use Bluetooth in your car to play music through, I noticed that with iOS5, that ther is now support to read out title/artist/albulm/track time/etc now.

This is a pleasant surprise as with iOS4, it would merely just say Bluetooth Audio

For those wondering, my stereo is a stock 11 Impreza

Hmm I'll have to check in my Sony, but it all depends on your stereo.

Currently my head unit doesn't (or can't) display title information. Just plays the audio through BT.

That is cool, unfortunately my stereo (Sony BT2600) doesn't show artist or track names.

Looks like i'll have to upgrade soon :D Actually, i'll probably wait till I upgrade to either 4S or 5 when it comes out so that I can use it for Siri. The mic on my head unity is behind the face plate so I have to talk really loud if I am using it on a phone call. I'd rather not have to do that when using siri to queue up songs.

Also my unit doesn't have a bluetooth button when in Music mode, so I can't bring up voice control without switching to the "phone" mode.

But at least I have my next/previous track buttons from iOS4 :)

is anyone else having an issue with steaming BT that you can't change the volume on the phone anymore? its only streaming to the car at MAX and its making everything sound like poo. i can't turn it down on the phone

HOT MIC HERE PEOPLE!!!

That happens to me as well but then I just adjust with the volume knob in my car.

When I unplug, the volume level on the iphone goes back to what it was.

I had the audio system in my Hyundai IX35 updated a couple of weeks ago and found it now supported BT streaming from iPhone but the display just showed "Bluetooth Audio"
After updating to IOS5, the audio display now shows artist, track and album details.
Nice.

I have a 2011 jetta tdi, and sadly isn't displaying any track info... I talked to someone else and it DID work on theirs, but they may not have had the exact same stereo. Any tips to troubleshoot? I would love to have this feature working.

Ios5 + bmw

I am unable to pair my iphone 4 with my BMW since the upgade.

In fact iCloud does not work for me at all, when I click on email for instance I am told to setup a @me.com mail address in OSX or IOS. Yet I am informed my MM has been upgraded to iCloud.

well i do that too but the audio still sounds like its at max from the device. listening to anything, especially talk radio (like a podcast) sounds like they're too close to the microphone and everything is boomy and scratchy

and i can tell its not adjusted correctly because switching from Sat, FM, iPod over to be-audio i get about a 60% increase in volume.

i know i'm being nit-picky but this wasn't the case with iOS 4.3.5

Hi Surrylic! (James' MK6 TDI from TDIclub)

My MINI shows track data...I wonder if they released an API allowing third party apps to do it too....if I could see Spotify data in my car that would be awesome!
