Delete them from the iPhone thru iTunes then resync. It's not that complicated to follow is it?! :p

Actually, I have a few ringtones that I've deleted from my computer/iTunes (all paper trail of it) and it still exists on my phone, lol.

Well the key thing you should have learnt is not to delete something from the computer that's on the phone as you never know when you might need it again...

Delete them from where? The iPhone or iTunes?

Make sure you have the ring tones of your computer.
Delete them from itunes, then synch with your phone.

then add them back to itunes, then synch again, it should now work. Just make sure you have the synch ringtones button checked off in itunes.

It appears that with the upgrade to IOS 5 the phone reverts to the default ring.
Go to Settings...Sounds...Ringtone and change to your custom ringtone.
Its that easy.

Thanks for this thread. I also had a problem where some of my custom ringtones would not upload to my phone.
I deleted the ringtones from my itunes, synced, then I loaded my ringtones back to itunes and synced again.
Hello...welcome ringtones.
Thanks again.
