Is there any way to run the ios6 simulator in xcode 6? I'm not seeing it as an available download.

Somewhere around the time I installed the xcode 6 beta, my ios6 simulator stopped working in xcode 5. The simulator just hangs at a black screen, and when I try to run my app, it says "can not install application".

So I can't run ios6 sim with xcode 5, and I don't see a way to install and use it with xcode 6. So I'm pretty much confused about how I'm supposed to test this. Is ios6 just not supported anymore?

Buying a used iPhone 3GS seems to be to only way to test apps on iOS 6 using the latest GM tools. Or you could run an older version of Xcode if you have a suitable Mac.

Well I still ahve the xcode 5 installed, but can't get that ios6 simulator working anymore.

So if I buy a 3gs, I will probably have to upgrade it to ios6 ... would I need a sim card in there to activate it during the upgrade? Looks like I can get a 3gs for around $40 on ebay

Are you planning to attach the phone to a line? Or just use it as an iPod Touch? If it needs to connect to the internet, it seems to me its WiFi connection should be sufficient.
