ios9 notes app instead of Evernote?

I currently use Evernote to keep track of my business, and have been for a few years. .I do pool repairs, and I create and modify 8-10 jobs a day. It's been a "fairly" reliable program, but I do get syncing problems between my devices sometimes. I have an employee who I create and share notes with all day long. Lately, we've had some work orders come up missing. Like it will get moved to another notebook, and then boom! gone!

I'd like to switch to the new ios9 note app when it comes out (I have the Public Beta on my personal phone, so Ive played with it). I think it will do all I need, and then some.

My biggest hurdle I guess would be sharing notes (work orders) between me and my tech. I need to be able to create and modify them quickly and easily during the day, and share them with him. He does the work, adds his notes and pics, the moves it to a "to be billed" folder. Thats what we are doing now with Evernote.

I've not looked into the new notes app extensively, but I didn't find a whole lot of sharing options for an individual note or folder. Just message and mail. I want to be able to share a note with him, and have it go to the appropriate folder on his iphone.

The app seems to have everything I need, but the lack of sharing options is a road block. At least right now. Maybe that will change once developers can integrate with the new notes app?

It might change but at the moment Notes is a personal application. Its not currently an application meant to collaborate with others in a way that syncs changes across multiple accounts. I would not guess that this fact will change but this is a guess. I like the notes app for myself and don't share with anyone unless its a one time send which is the mail or message option. My suggestion is to continue to test with third party options that offer the collaboration that you're looking for. Notes has been made much better than it ever has but its still built to be used by you on your devices.

I have a feeling you're right about Apple seeing it as a personal application, therefore limiting the sharing abilities.

From what Ive seen of the new notes app, it could make a great alternative to Evernote, and still stay within the walls of the Apple Ecosystem.

I would suggest using "Google docs", it's a great app for sharing notes and it has real time updates. You can actually see him typing. You can also upload photos.

i believe you can do the same thing with pages/numbers etc. if you have the app, they can share. you can also do the editing on the web as well. it is all free.

You get a different "notes account" with each email address. We use a shared google calendar at work, set up as an email account but we turn off the email but and it synchronises perfectly our calendars and also the notes on that account.

You could do something similar, even with an iCloud account which you can both share

Just as a sidenote if you don't use iCloud, you don't get any of the new Notes features.

From what Ive seen of the new notes app, it could make a great alternative to Evernote, and still stay within the walls of the Apple Ecosystem.

The only thing that would get me back to Notes is if i could unlock them with Touch ID like i can with Evernote.

I'm sticking with Evernote for now, simply because my work takes forever to update their computers (we just got Yosemite this week) so I wouldn't be able to access my notes from my work computer for a full year. I know there are workarounds like iCloud or using my phone, but sometimes it's just easier to use the desktop app on my computer. The biggest drawback to Evernote to me is that you can't search your notes with Spotllight/Alfred so as soon as we upgrade at work I'll probably make the switch.
