The USB-C 30 watt charger can fast charge the iPad pros - wondering if it would also fast charge the new iPad Pro 11" or 3rd gen 12.9". Yes the new iPads have an 18 watt USB-C charger, but is it possible the 30 watt USB-C charger can fast charge?

On the apple link below, if you click on compatible products, it has the new ipad pros listed as compatible - of course that does not prove that it would charge any faster

Yes, the new 30w charger will fast charge the new iPad Pros. Worst case, it will supply 15 watts to the iPad Pros.

The complete range of outputs for the new 30w charger is as follows:
USB-PD 20V/1.5A or 15V/2A or 9V/3A or 5V/3A

Will the included 18W charger do a fast charge (power delivery) like the 30W one? If so would this also fast charge iPhone 8/X/Xs/XR etc? Or is the 18W just a little faster than the old 12W included charger?

What is the minimum wattage required for power delivery fast charge?

29W charger is what it took on the Ipad 1st and 2gen USBC Lightning. Will try that first with USBC

Ah ok, so the 18W included will probably just be a normal charger in replacement of the old 12W one, not being a fast charger. Just with the new IPP being USB-C thought Apple might have, eventually, included a fast charger. Maybe not....

Those expensive chargers is an apple revenue line par usual that they don’t want to cut

Has Apple stopped selling the 29W mains plug?
I use mine with my Series 1 iPad Pro and intend to use it with my Series 3 12.9" Pro.
