We have an iPad 2 with a duplicate SIM-card belonging to my wife’s iPhone 5s. This evening the iPad called her father, while both the phone and the iPad was not in use. Her father wasn’t able to establish a connection when answering and called back. After she hung up, she noticed the iPad screen displaying a standard iPhone call screen saying “calling [number]” The screen was frozen and I had to reboot the device. I find this very strange (if even possible) – does anyone have any clue on what happened?
Some facts:
The SIM-cards are identical, but card two is blocked for SMS
Both devices are running latest IOS and are not tampered with in any way
The phone number called is not in the contact list at the iPad
The same number was the latest received number at the phone
Facetime and similar applications are not enabled/installed at the iPad
The call from the iPad does not appear in the call history on the phone
Forgot.. the two devices does not share AppleID
