Ipad 2 email notification banner

I cant seem to get my emails to show up in my notification banner, other types of notificTions do. I have gone into settings and changed email to banners but my emails still wont show. They show up fine on my iphone.

Try a reboot. Mine didn't show up either until I did a full shutdown and restart.
