I need a way to access 3 Facebook devices via IOS. No phone.

I Have an old iPad Gen 2. Will this work for this single application, or am I wasting my time ? a2

This stuff, and they do real rocket-ships too.

Who would have thought It ? LOL. a2

I'm all Mac here, But the devices are IOS and will only link to a phone. For my 3rd gen, cast pod I can only link through a phone to patch to my headset. My head set links using Facebook.

My router is also phone linked but runs on android, also ios. We are using a borrowed iPhone to control all right now. The router only needed to be set up and turned on, same with headset. The cast pod, however requires more phone every time I use it.

I can't keep the phone forever, thus my question on the old #2 iPad.

From what I remember, the Facebook app still supports iOS 9.

Much to my surprise the old #2 upgraded to ios 10 and it worked on Facebook just fine.

I Would not have gone ahead with the hassle of reactivating with out your post. Thank you. a2

AA. You right it could be a later machine, as it has a lightning connector. Now how to verify ?

No nice "About This Mac" box, and I couldn't find anything in settings to take me to specs. I hooked it up to my Mac via USB, and it will only take me to iTunes.

Any idea where on the case I might find a model number ? a2

Nothing there except you are up to date 10.3.4. Searching the case for model number, so far no luck.

Odd. When I go to Settings-General-About on both my iPP on iPad OS 13.1.2 or my wife’s Air 2 on iOS 12.4 I can see on the upper right the name of the ipad, software version, model name, model number and serial number displayed on the upper right.

Barring that I suppose you could look on the back of the ipad to read the model number there and google that.

No model marking anywhere on outside of case. They only admit it is an iPad.

Download the MacTracker app and go to 'This Device', that'll tell you which model (as well as every spec published) for your iPad. If it looks like the iPad 2 and has a lightning connector, it's definitely the late 2012 iPad 4th Generation.
