I have an old iPad 2 that I would like to keep in my backpack to use as a laptop replacement. I know that it's way out dated but I only plan to use it for simple web browsing and ext editing. My first question, is there a free (or fairly cheap) app that I can use for editing.txt files and share them between my iPad and Windows PC? Second question, can I pair an apple Magic Mouse to it? Thanks in advance and I'm sorry if I have posted this in the wron area.

Pages has the ability to import/export .txt files. You can then mail it to your Windows PC using maildrop.
For mouse support, you'll need to be running iPadOS 13.
