Good day folks

As my old iPad 2 cannot connect to my Apple accounts (2 factor authorization issue), I really need to think of a use for it. It's larger than my new iPad mini 2, so it would make a nice ebook (ePub & PDF reader).

I don't seem to be able to get anything onto the iPad, via the default Mac Finder method. I have tried using iExplorer (4.6), and while I can move books onto the iPad, they are not seen by the Books app.
If there is a way to get some other app onto the iPad, that can open these pubs and PDFs, great. But how? Which app to install for reading?

Thanks for any help.
