The Apple Shop trade in value of Air 2 is around US$90 which is pretty good. My air 2 has been used for so many years and bettary is not that good now, worth to trade in and buy ipad 2021 non air kind? Air 4 is too expensive for me.
Yeah I expect no more IOS update very soon. Is the screen quality better? I have no idea.I think for the fresh battery alone that will be worth it after so many years, especially if you're getting $90 trade in value! It will also be a faster experience, slightly larger display, and years more OS support (Air 2 might finally be at the end of the line by now).
the antiglare coating on the air 2 is nowhere near what it is on pro iPads. I remember it side by side with my 9.7 pro, the difference was huge (pro being much less reflective), so not a big deal IMO. Also the screen on the new iPad will be brighter than on the air 2. Only downside is non laminated, but to me that matters only for the pencil, which the air 2 does not have anyway...I would say yes, it is a solid upgrade. 90$ trade-in value for the Air2 is a good deal and the iPad 2021 9gen will run circle around the Air2 in terms of performance.
The screen is slightly larger, but downside is that it is non-laminated and have not received the reflective coating found on the Air. Some people will consider these factors a dealbreaker but I would personally consider them minor compared to the performance upgrade and ability to use a proper stylus (Great one can be found cheap on Amazon). Plus, you just don’t get anything better at this price point.
@MhaelK said it for the screen quality, the new iPad will be larger and brighter, with true tone if that's something that interests you, but there is a slight air gap between the actual display and the cover glass, IMO a minor detail you might not even notice if you're not using the pencil with it.Yeah I expect no more IOS update very soon. Is the screen quality better? I have no idea.
