I bought a refurbished ipad 3 wifi. When I opened any games, it loads for a few seconds and crashed back to home.

What I had tried so far
1- reboot. not working.
2- reset all setting. not working.
3. factory reset. not working.

What else I should try?

Thanks,

After trying other games that I have never tried before, it seems only affected some apps/games but not all. Bubble Witch Saga 3 for example, not crashing on ipad 2 but crashing on ipad 3.

Wasn’t the iPad 3 the first with a retina screen and basically almost overwhelmed with the display resolution so that performance was never anything to shout home about?

Yes the iPad 3 is not aging very well.
I only use mine for occasional browsing (feels so slow), sketching and very light gaming.
It mostly cannot catch up with newer complex apps such as gaming, market place, and even cannot install the newer Instagram app.
Navigation on the home screen also feels choppy.

I think I agree with the analysis that the processing power is lacking compared to the high screen resolution.
That is why Apple updated it with iPad 4 just 6 months later.

One thing that has been good though, is the battery life. Mine still holds fine after 8 years.

March 7, 2012 was a long time ago. I’m impressed iPad 3 still runs.
It's on it's last legs now, app support is vanishing rapidly. In terms of overall performance iPad 2 is probably better, the 3rd gen really couldn't handle the Retina display. Still is impressive though, no Android tablet from 2012 performs even like the iPad 2/3 these days.

Very true, I bought a Galaxy Nexus on the same year (released 5 months earlier than the iPad 3). Feels unbearable to use just after 2 years, continue to use it as secondary phone for calls and text only for another 4 years though.

But the iPad 3 performs well right just before it’s final OS update, iOS 9. Was smooth up until iOS 8.
That was only 3 years updates, compared to 4 years on my iPhone 6. But the iPhone 6 holds up well up until currently.
