at an apple store or a Best buy store....
I dont want to be mean, but why ask here instead of calling the stores?
I mean even if i said you could get one at place"X" are you going to take my word or check for yourself. so why not cut out the middle man and do the leg work yourself?
I am really curious of the reasoning?

if apple stores are out, my first choice would be to call the Burbank Best Buy they are the largest non apple retailer in the area and the local apple rep I talked to two weeks ago told me they get the largest stock shipments in LA
Call each Apple Store, if they don't have stock in one, move to the next. Repeat until you find an Apple Store with stock. Or just get one online.

That's because I am not in US but my friend is, so I want him to go and get it for me. BTW, I'm considerate of him to do this for me if he has to drive far away from his home.
I don't know how many total of days that he will receive the package if he purchased it through Apple Online Store. Is it more than 1 week?
NOTE: He will be in US around 1 or 2weeks.
