when i get the ipad 3g, will i have to get another data plan?? or can i just use my iphone plan?? thanks.

it seems fairly well implemented at least.

you can initiate (or stop) the service at any time right from the ipad.

If you only need to get online once and quickly, get that. If it turns out you need more, you can upgrade your plan on the fly.

...so the question is, why NOT start with the 250mb plan?

well, 10 bucks more and less of a hassle if you ask me, and what if you go over that 250...how much per mb?

It will alert you that you're reaching your limit and allow you to upgrade to the unlimited plan or shut off data.

I predict there will be slight surge in AT&T SIM sales in the next month or two and questions relating how to remove a "modified" mini SIM from an iPhone.

Shaping it down to something that will fit in the iPad is probably very doable, getting it back in to a package that it will allow it to work reliably in the iPhone, not going to be as easy as most people think.
