So sad. My wife's 3G arrived this afternoon and we were so excited to use it tonight. Unfortunately, the video processor is totally junked. I know the ipad is working because I swiped where the "slide to unlock" strip should be and heard the unlock sound. The only thing the unit will display though are these streaks of light.

Wow that sucks.

I had mine set up at the store deliberately, so I wouldn't have that issue.

Do they even test these things in the factory?? Dropping it in the box wouldn't cause that unless the chips weren't soldered properly. It's a solid state device.. it'd take a pretty big fall, bare unit, to cause that kind of damage.

Posting from my replacement iPad! Apparently this is the first one they've seen like that.

Nice, that was fast! After all the anticipation, I joked with my hubs about how I'd probably end up with a DOA model. Happy to see this appeared to be rare, and that it got resolved quickly for you.

Wow a replacement in less than a day. Surprised you would get one so fast with the demand for this thing.

Glad to hear you were able to get a replacement without them being out of stock. Hope this one works great for you!
