I really don't think I'll be buying this iteration of the iPad, but if I do decide that I just must have one, I wonder how easy/cheap it will be to pick up the wifi version after the 3G version gets released later this month.

Just seems to me that there are a lot of people out there who jumped on the first iPad they could get their hands on, but will decide they just can't live without 3G when that version gets released. They will then run out and buy one, only to have to sell their used wifi iPad on eBay for significantly less than they paid for it.

Easy and cheap are subjective terms but you will be able to find them and they will be priced at market value.;)

It will be interesting to see what "market value" is. Since you don't need a contract with AT&T to buy one, the value won't go nuts like it did with the iPhone, and since they will begin to appear on the Apple refurb store, I'm thinking a used wifi-only iPads might fetch 60% of retail price within 2 months of the 3G iPad release.

My hunch would be 15-25% less than original price will be typical. You may get lucky and encounter a fool who's eager to be parted with his money, and get a better deal than that.
