I’m thinking of upgrading to a Pro from my 5th gen. would I see a significant performance increase?

I upgraded from the 6th gen iPad from 2018 and it’s massive jump. I’d imagine it’d be even bigger going from a 5th gen.

Go for it, you will notice an improvement in the speed, larger drive, keyboard support, speakers, battery life, and screen quality. Even if you can't identify why you need to upgrade there is nothing wrong with doing it just because you want to.

For someone who has been accustomed to using a non-pro iPad, jumping to the new Air could be an option if 64 GB is sufficient.

Why upgrade to pro 11 2020? The air 4 is. Much better buy. I have had every iPad since it’s launch including all the iPad Pro models. I currently have iPad 6th gen
ipad Pro 9.7. iPad Pro 10.5. iPad Pro 11 first gen (2018). iPad Air 3

im skipping iPad Pro 2020 cause there is there wasn’t a significant processor upgrade despite the added 2gb ram to 6gb.

i will probably pickup iPad Air 4 during Black Friday sales. I got iPad Air 3 ($289) military store sale last November.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I bought the Pro and it is soooooo much better than my old 5th gen. Definitely worth the upgrade.

Congrats and enjoy. I think you made a great choice.

The difference between him and you is that you have a recent iPad Pro and he doesn't... well now he does. :D

In these days, 2GB RAM upgrade is better than 12.5% CPU performance upgrade
