Will iOS 14 and 15 make it a lot slower like newer versions normally do with overhead I am guessing.
 
Apple has said that iOS version upgrades are now aware of older hardware and compensate for that. So on older iPads with slower processors, supposedly later supported iOS versions will not affect performance (or at least not much, we hope!).
